This individual provides guidance to junior TCS personnel on the understanding of a given program objectives and has the ability to prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. The position requires the ability to plan, design, and implement complex application and system level designs. This position requires proven experience with commonly used Informatica, SQL, and Oracle programming concepts, practices, and methodologies. The Sr. Programmer Analyst works with the business unit to gain an understanding of general business functions of assigned software. This person prepares project deliverables under the guidance of a Project Manager or senior personnel, completes assigned portions of the technical process, creates or updates relevant technical documentation, and complies with the SDM. An individual in this position should meet agreed-upon deadlines and perform other duties as assigned. The Sr. PA may be required to work trouble tickets from the problem management software within a specified service level. This includes coordinating efforts between business groups and IT departments. On call, after hours support may be required. A candidate for this position typically has five to seven years of comparable experience and holds a working knowledge of technologically appropriate tool sets and relevant operating systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills, a customer-service orientation, the ability to work in a team environment, accepting guidance, and following directions are paramount to the success of the Sr. Programmer Analyst. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field or the equivalent related technical work experience.
