An early feedback is really appreciated, *REQ: *Java developer** *Location**: *Warren NJ *Type: ** *6 months contract * * *Job Description:* Looking for an experienced JAVA developer to join the team building high velocity, low latency trading applications for the Global equity markets. These applications are being written ground up on the asset neutral COMET platform being developed at Client Location.. The group is engaged in building the entire equity trading application suite including Cash Sales Trading, Program Trading etc.. This new application suite is built using the asset neutral COMET platform. This effort has been given the top most priority by the business for the next foreseeable future. This position will report directly to the platform manager for design and strategy. Collaborate regularly with Architects, Senior leaders and global development teams. The team seeks seasoned professionals combining creativity, technical depth, and organization. *Qualifications * § Strong JAVA programming and OO design skills. § Experience using any JMS based messaging product. § Experience using FIX protocol will be a plus. § Experience developing systems that integrate low latency market data § Able to identify and implement Java, .NET, and C++ interoperability strategies § Equity trading experience in the areas of order management, trading, exchange connectivity, trade booking. § Capable of guiding end-to-end design of applications across GUI, logic, database, and integration with heterogeneous systems, storage, networks, and business continuity § Familiarity with continuous integration and agile development practices. Interpersonal - § Candidate must be creative, have strong analytical and problem solving skills, and be detail oriented. § Working with development teams spread across multiple time zones. § Strategy is often communicated directly from traders to developers.
