*Title: Technical Architect – Micro Strategy / BO* *Location: Men. Falls, WI* *Duration: 3 Months +* *Project:* Client's Information Systems Infrastructure Service Delivery group is seeking highly qualified and experienced system architects and administrators. The Service Delivery team provides production support for various systems hosted within the corporate datacenters. In order to meet the anticipated demand for IT Infrastructure support during the upcoming Holiday season, Client's is seeking several resources to provide 2nd and 3rd level support of Informatica, Weblogic and Micro strategy systems. *Skills:* Define, build and support the business intelligence architecture and tools used by application development teams. Work as a liaison between the application development staff and the technical support teams to provide architecture support, standards, and production control and system administration. Assist as a Level 3 resource in identifying and resolving technical issues in both production and non-production environments. Perform design reviews of new projects in order to ensure their compliance with enterprise standards for report and dashboard development. *Primary Responsibilities:* • Administer Microstrategy and Business Objects environments for several in-house-developed and vendor-supplied applications. • Define the implementation standards and best practices for the setup of the infrastructure environment. • Assist in defining best practices for report and dashboard development. • Automate the administration of the business intelligence run-time environments where possible. • Provide direction and training to application development teams. • Evaluate software packages, ensuring that they fit within Client's architecture and infrastructure. • Provide timely and accurate on-call support for production infrastructure components. • Provide training or mentoring to large groups on tools or architecture concepts as needed. • Perform capacity planning to ensure the organizations business intelligence infrastructure has adequate capacity to meet the needs of the company. Qualifications: • In-depth knowledge of UNIX environment from an architecture perspective. • In-depth understanding of the UNIX files system • Experience installing and administering applications hosted upon Linux and Windows servers. • Experience setting best practices for reports and dashboards. • Experience administering the following BI Platforms: Microstrategy versions 8 and 9, Microstrategy Health Service, Microstrategy Integrity Manager, Microstrategy Enterprise Manager, Command Manager, Object Manager, Business Objects version XI R2, Xcelsius, QAAWS, InfoBurst, APOS, • Desired database platform experience: Teradata versions 12 and 13, IBM DB2 Version 9, Oracle version 10 and MySQL • Previous report development experience with Webi, Crystal Reports, and Microstrategy technologies. • Senior level experience in Business Intelligence Architecture. • Leadership skills to work with multiple support and application teams. • Must display willingness to accept responsibility, take initiative, use good judgment and maintain a positive attitude. • Must be able to act decisively and promptly while maintaining a high level of accuracy. • Regular attendance is key to performing the job.
