Gentle Alfisti, The rubber straps that hold the top frame down will chafe holes in the top fabric. I have found that iron-on patches that are used to repair wetsuits work well to reinforce this area. The vinyl boot is an on-again, off-again affair that the plastic clips are not really suited-for. I try to leave it on, but once it gets taken off, it tends to stay off and the top fabric gets sun- faded on the inside.
