Several documentation sites have the official policy of NOT correcting documentation for grammar and typos to meet any particular language requirements. Unless the LFS projects want to officially require all documentation be in a specific language and be grammatically correct for that language, most "native English speakers" accept the unusual grammar and spelling since any documentation is better than none. It is often seen as less.... discriminatory to not edit for grammar and spelling. The effort of having someone go through every bit of the projects to make sure it fits a specific language grammatically is just as large as that required for writing each project's book. Doubling the workload for any new release. Is anyone running a commercial office suite to use the better quality grammar tools on the books on? ;) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFG65BvylMakk+oQ1oRAlC9AJ9QxZhJWyTWjldS+eBC2pQJ6bdILgCeM2o9 p8w7hqTQHUocSAJi6vPCtL8= =G7LD -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- http://linuxfromscratch.org/mailman/listinfo/alfs-discuss FAQ: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/faq/ Unsubscribe: See the above information page
