A better full range mic is my pair of AT4041 but for on location recording I will stick with my C1000 large diaphrams because they offer optional battery portability.

Which hear full range. From 20 Hz to full 20 KHZ. The 8022 only goes up to 15. Or better yet you could use a pare of 4022 omni mikes in spaced omni configuration or the Rode NT-5 mikes that can be cardiode or omni.
