Confirmed.
Using Windows 2000 v5.0.2195 running OOo 1.9.74
When I open Writer and then hit Ctrl-O to open a file, as I type, a drop-down
displays matching filenames, but the File Name field does not show the remaining
text of the closest match as Microsoft Word does.
As the Save dialogs don't do it either, I suspect this is an enhancement
request. I'll let somebody more knowledgable than I make that decision.
