It is not only a matter of files received by e-mail, though that was how I
first
met it. This evening I created a new document by typing in a sentence.
Then I tried the cursor keys, page up page down, home end delete and
backspace. None of them worked. I was totally dependent on the mouse
and the edit menu for everything. I have also since checked out the
situation with files downloaded with a different mailer (AMEOL) on my
system and the result was the same.
As I mentioned earlier, I am not the only user to have met this problem,
but I wonder whether there are any possible system conflicts. Would it
help if I put up a list of everything from msconfig?
