I can't say yet what it depends on, but: sometimes I can push around the floating 'format'-windows for almost ever and in other cases I open it and it will freeze almost instantly. The mouse recovers after a few seconds, even the floating window can be moved again, but the program-window doesn't come back. Something has changed, it's not as dramatic any more as before - but it's not resolved :-( I did a clean reinstall after the problem resurfaced. Still there ...
