If you use "save as", the original file name in "recent documents" list is
replaced by the new name. As long as you stick to the same file format this is
probably what is wanted.

However, if you i.e. save myfile.odt as myfile.html which is normally the case
for *temporary* use, you still want to have your original master document
myfile.odt in the "recent document" list.

So, it would be easiest to not replace the filename but add the new only.
