I request that eps display be supported in OO Impress and Writer.
Currently, only those eps files with previews inserted can be displayed.
While all eps images imported into OO documents are claimed to be printed
correctly on ps printers, there is urgent need to have them displayed also,
since eps is one of the main vector graphic formats and has to be used whenever
bitmaps are insufficient. Eps is the format of choice in LaTeX. Having a huge
collection of figures prepared in this format, I would like to have an
opportunity to directly include them in OO files. Note that MS Powerpoint and
Word do provide the possibility to include eps's, and this is a common practice,
e.g. in physical community, to include them when making a presentation or paper.
The lack of this feature in OO is highly regrettable. Hope there is no grave
obstacle in the way of including this feature in OO.
