    Yes of course; the same algorithm is in fact used there (AFAICS) from
gnome-themes/ - it's quite versatile; cf. gtkstyle.c (gtk_default_render_icon)'s
call of gdk_pixbuf_saturate_and_pixelate.

    Sure - tested, behaves as expected from above. Of course, OO.o cannot use
the gtk+ theme icons itself, since there are just not enough by an order of
magnitude but ...
