------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Apr 23 22:36:10 -0700 2006 ------- Hi Bernhard, John, DESIGNING: I think we should not get distracted too much by creating HTML and such. I think we should concentrate on design (from the Art project point of view), graphical appearance and produce images. USABILITY: might be advisable to ask people on the website project too, perhaps they might give some additional ideas too in optimizing the site from the visitor's point of view ? HTML: I am sure there are enough experts in the website project to ask them to transform into HTML/CSS the designs after we agree on the looks. BTW: I've linked the spanish CSS file in your index_bedipp.html page to see how it looks without the navigation bar in the left. I also thought that for testing purposes it does not worth to commit this CSS yet to the why.ooo CVS but instead link to it. WHYTE vs. COLOR BACGROUND: This will depend on how big in kBytes the page will be and how hard will it load. We should consider both variants from this point of view. Let's not rule out any possibility yet. JOHN's designs: - homepage_second_draft.png: I think the big black WHY looks a bit better on whit like in this second draft - homepage_third_draft.png: the three coloured texts on the right look like buttons, but would they be clickable ? When looking at the page I tend to click on them. Could be link to a general presentation or tour in html slides. Also, the icons for target markets are not showing on my 1024 monitor in the first screen. Both designs are good and are a big step forward. Good job John :-) The only concern I have after looking to all three designs is the fact that important elements are left out of the first browser screen and you have to scroll to find them. ~cdriga (who envies those having the time to do designs and HTML) :) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
