------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jun 8 06:28:22 -0700 2006 ------- 4. looks (to me) like typical configmgr over-engineering :-) a new language based on random constraints, used to determine what should be used etc. [ cf. the unnecessary regexp junk for ucp selection ;-]. 1. seems doable, simple, elegant, quick with the downside of having another (unnecssary) albeit small library loaded [sadly]. 1. also would fix the existing problem really quickly without need for discussion, review, linguistic discussion, a specification etc. etc. ;-) Jan - I'd like to see this fixed; of course, for some machines we can rely on people not installing the other desktop's integration packages & hence that the activation will just fail. OTOH - I imagine -really- bad things happen when both are loaded in parallel - what happens ? who 'wins' for a conflicting setting ? [ eg. proxy ] etc. etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
