2006 -------
Recently I updated from OOo 2.0.1 to 2.0.3. I also (accidently) killed my
~/.ooo-2.0 directory. When I tried to create a letter with the letter wizard
later on, the wizard (and any other wizard) failed.

When I start the wizard I get a dialog box which tells me "The wizard could
not be run, because important files were not found. Under 'Tools - Options -
OpenOffice.org - Paths' click the 'Default' button to reset the paths to the
original default settings." When I press ok, the wizard starts anyway but a
Java Exception is printed on the console:
com.sun.star.wizards.common.NoValidPathException

        at
com.sun.star.wizards.letter.CallWizard$WizardImplementation.trigger(CallWizard.java:95)

The wizard seems to work correct but as soon as I try to Finish it, I get a
dialog telling me "Template could not be saved to
file:///usr/lib/openoffice/program/null/myLetterTemplate.ott" and yet another
exception:

        at

I tried to reset the paths as suggested but that changed nothing at all. But
I think the list of paths is shorter than it was in older versions. I
have "Backups", "Gallery", "Graphics", "My Documents", "Temporary Files" -- I
miss at least something like "My Templates".

This version of OOo was build from sources via Gentoo Portage.
