Here's the address for the openoffice files for gentoo.. http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/app-office/openoffice/ there you will find openoffice-2.0.4.ebuild which is the file gentoo parses for compilation and installation of gentoo. The patches aren't many. In the subdir "files" you will find a subdirectory "2.0.4". There you will find 2 patches which I think are the ones applied to the source "gentoo-2.0.4.diff" and "system-icu.diff" Also, I notice that gentoo pulls the source not from oo.org but rather from go-oo.org... Well, upon further inspection I believe it's just an "official hackers" page, right? hehe... I will try my best to try and install the binary from oo.org without messing too much with my system..
