------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Nov 8 04:32:23 -0800 2006 ------- I'm using OpenOffice 2.0.2 Novell Edition. It seems that your are using a different functionality. You demo odt file shows the same result on my machine as yours. However, the functionality I mentioned is not the rotation of a text (or vertical text) box, but the raw text in documentation. Please try the following steps: 1. Open oowriter and create an empty document. 2. Input a string with some English characters as well as some Chinese characters. 3. Select all Chinese characters, by mouse or whatever you want. 4. Choose a Chinese font in font drop-menu, to make sure that those Chinese characters are rendered with correct font. I used FZSongTi, which is available in SLED10 or SUSE Linux 10.1, however you can use any other Chinese font, such as "AR PL SungtiL GB". 5. Select the whole string. 6. Right click on the selected string and click "Character..." in the context menu. 7. Select "Position" tab in the Character dialog, then you can see "Rotation / scaling" options in it. 8. Select "270 degrees" then click ok. 9. Repeat steps 5-8 to try other degrees. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
