The font size (in UI, e.g. menus) is inconsistent with the one used in other
applications: the fonts are very small, almost unreadable.

The machine is a PC under Debian/sarge (i386, Athlon processor). OpenOffice
2.1.0 was installed with the deb packages downloaded from fr.openoffice.org.

I have the following line in my .Xresources file:

Xft.dpi: 88

and increasing this value (e.g. to 120) allows to have characters in a
reasonable size for OpenOffice, but in this case, the characters in Firefox and
GNOME Terminal are huge! Also 88 is quite close to the resolution provided by
xdpyinfo (95x96 dots per inch).
