I couldn't find any checksums for that file, but it is as a .tar.gz and
extracted without errors; besides I experience the same problems with the
previous snapshot.

Step-by-step instructions to reproduce:

(as root)
1. download OOo_2.0bc_LinuxIntel_install_de.tar.gz
2. extract it
3. mv openoffice-redhat-menus-1.9.79-1.noarch.rpm and
openoffice-gnome-integration-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm out of the way
4. rpm -iv openoffice-*.rpm

(as user)
5. rm -r ~/.openoffice.org1.9.79 (just to be sure)
6. soffice
7. go through the setup wizard
8. OOo loads and shows an empty window
9. choose "Datei" -> "Beenden" (File/Exit)
10. OpenOffice exits without errors
11. restart soffice
12. setup wizard reappears

variation:
9. choose "Datei" -> "Neu" -> "Textdokument" (File/New/Text document)
10. OpenOffice crashes (see attachment above)

variation2:
9. choose "Datei" -> "Ãffnen" (File/Open)
10. choose some .sxi file
11. message box "Allgemeiner Ein-/Ausgabefehler beim Zugriff auf xxx.sxi"
(general IO error while accessing xxx.sxi)

Restarting soffice after a crash brings up a confirmation box about another
instance accessing the configuration.

System Information:
SuSE 9.2, Linux 2.6.8-24.11 (SuSE), KDE 3.3.2a (update from SuSE)
/home is mounted via NFS, Server is Linux 2.4.20 (SuSE)
