------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Mar 1 09:14:18 +0000 2007 ------- 1 - I see at least one use case when it would be useful and would not imply any loss of information: when the user posting the first description of the issue did a mistake (posted too quickly...). There, while no one posted any message after him , it should be possible to modify it. 2 - On some issues you need to simply remove posts. For example, check issue 7019. I posted 7 times the same comment because of a problem (search for "KDE-Usability lists"). In this case, you would not loose information but remove "noise". I suppose that removing comments should be done by an "administrator" or maybe by the user who posted the comment. but it would be useful there. 3 - In fact, while speaking with the user who reported the issue, often, it is necessary to explicit the description of the issue. If you are new to this issue, you then need to read through a lot of messages to find the last correct description of the issue. Conclusion: - 1 & 2: sometimes, it is necessary to modify a comment. - 3: But maybe is a need for a "description" field of the problem, that should be modified while the issue evolves. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
