Yes, I will try that.  I have never used those, except to view M$ Office files, 
but I guess I can take a crash course in Calc.  I always liked spreadsheet 
programs :-)

The "Cannot save" thing is perhaps caused by me having all my personal files 
(incl. my hundreds of OpenOffice.org:Writer docs) on a fast USB key.  I never 
store ANYTHING valuable on my machine but always store all such stuff on a USB 
key.  I have seen before that such USB keys are a bit volatile and sometimes 
report spurious errors for reasons I don't know.  And I am perhaps pushing the 
limits of what M$ envisioned when I use this together with hibernation and dual-
core ;-)  We're not talking a Solaris box here but something that came out of 
Redmond, WA.  Yeah, we could use a warning sticker like "Redmond Powered" or 
something like that.
