------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Mar 20 08:40:48 +0000 2007 ------- I have tried what you said to check if it works, but it doesn't! 1. I need to delete all text to let the anchor stay at the top of the document. At once I move the object, the anchor moves too and the point of use is gone! 2. If I look it to the first character. The object is deleted when I have to delete all text to fix the layout. It also follows the text when I start to write. Then the objects move again. 3. The very nice Shift+Arrow movement of object doesn't work with paragraph/ character anchor! 4. After I have started to write in the text, I cannot do any changes on the layout. Then the anchor will move when I move any object and I have to start all over again. 5. If the document has more than one page, I have to put in a page break to design page two. Again when merged, I get a blank page two! 6. Mail merge still messes up the document when using paragraph/ character anchor. I have two picture on top of each other and the mail merge move the foreground picture to the background, so I only see the background in the foreground without the picture which should be there. Another thing is that the merging is actually working fine with page anchor if you use the workaround I will describe. The whole problem is step 7(which is another issue I will post soon). I want step 7 removed completely or at least get a posibility to skip that step. If step 7 is removed, it will solve many problem with page layout and maybe some print settings. Workaround: >From the document you want to merge, click on print out and then answer Yes on the following question and the merging is working fine, except some other bugs that also exist in the mail merge wizzard. But at least, I get the document I want with correct printer settings. This workaround have I used since I started to use OOo for three years ago. Actually the mail merge wizzard was working quite good in OOo version 1. There were of course many bugs there, but at least you managed to go through the whole wizzard to print out a short while. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
