Quite frustrating, does oprofile work on that sparc kernel ? If so then perhaps installed the debugging information for the XServer and then start oprofile daemon, log it, use oprofile --start, give it some time while X stays pegged, and then oprofile --dump and we might get to see what the Xserver is doing. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
