You've already opened the word doc and "update field" of the TOC. Save and close. Open document in OOo, right click on the TOC and "update Index/table" Save and close. Open in word and "update field" of the TOC.... If all the entries are still there then I suppose this issue can be closed again and will resign myself to correcting this issue for the documents that I have where it happens.
