Time I spend on this is time lost from working on the Swedish localization.

"Please note that we don't have the option to turn off the
part that inserts HTML (menus, etc.) into the web pages."

Sorry if I am getting enraged over language difficulties and I am
misinterpreting your words. However, turning off the insertion of the crap is
*precisely* what we need. I'll assume it's a misunderstanding or translation
problem.

If you cannot turn off collabnet's insertion of crap into the web pages, then we
have several other options.

One is for you to use Apache2 or Lighttpd for the sv.openoffice.org virtual
host. That can be an all or nothing deal or if the skill is there, parts of the
site (e.g. the mail archives) can be still found via collabnet.

Another is to free up the A record for sv.openoffice.org in DNS and point it to
a hosting service of our choosing. That such a pathetically simple technical
task is met with such procrastination and obtuseness is so frustrating that I'm
willing to pay the first year of hosting myself, just to get it done.

Another is to point sv.openoffice.org at the OOo wiki like I have requested.

I see *NO* technical advantages in persisting with Collabnet or any other CMS
for our case where straight HTML+CSS via SVN or CVS will do. The foot dragging
and song-and-dance regarding this technically simple request drive home the
point that there are no administrative advantages either.

People joining the team know HTML+CSS they know Wiki. When we can work with
those, then the new team members have an easier time contributing.
