------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Dec 6 15:48:20 +0000 2007 ------- Hello *, the Italian OOo community has just started on OOo wiki <http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Modelli> a project in order to produce/collect/distribute OOo templates in our own native language. However, we really miss a clear statement about the Wiki license and that fact is rather annoying and is creating, as it always happens when talking about licenses, a lot of discussions among contributors and users. So far, all our templates are under LGPL 2.1 (100% compliant with OOo distribution), but: a) it is nowhere stated that other licenses cannot be used; b) http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org_Wiki:Copyrights states that there is a joint copyright among Wiki contributors and Sun, but I can find nowhere the terms and conditions of such deal; c) no license is shown in Wiki footer section after the wording "Content is available under..." d) in the "upload page" for Italian Wiki is written that the uploader should check a checkbox in that page in order to state he/she is not infringing any copyright, but that checkbox is not there (page code missing?). Hence no statement about copyright is really done before uploading. IMO, we *must* find a solution. As Andre Schnabel says, the extension of OOo approved licenses to the Wiki would prevent any further discussion, by limiting at the same time the chance that other not approved and conflicting licenses were used in the Wiki. Any comment about this issue would be really appreciated.
