The actual delay for me is 6 seconds, and occurs every time I right-click, even if no action was performed in the interim. This system has a P4 running at 2 ghz and 1 gig ram, which I realize is old and slow, but this long delay is out of sync with other apps and other features of OOo and makes 2.4 unusable. I suppose it might be a Mepis issue. I will try to find another Mepis user willing to do a little testing.
