------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Feb 5 05:34:14 +0000 2008 ------- I opened the file on my system (Ubuntu 7.10, OpenOffice 2.3.0). Cell A78 shows up as text for me, too. However, I tried making my own, simpler file in Excel (Microsoft Office 2007 on Windows Vista) to duplicate this more fully, and didn't run into any trouble. My file consisted of cell A1 being set to '1', cell A2 being set to '5', and cell A3 being set to AVERAGE(A1:A2). I saved this and reopened it under OpenOffice 2.3 in both platforms mentioned above, with A3 showing up as '3' both times. I did notice that discoleo's original file displays A78 as '=average(B2:B77)'. The proper funciton name seems to be capitalized, and usually when entering a formula in lower case in either OO or Excel it will automatically be converted to capitals. Perhaps this is partly the result of an error in some version of Excel that allowed the formula to be saved badly? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
