No tips checked in Tools / Options / OpenOffice.org / General : Help I only had two add-ons (zip packages). Right-click on a Writer text takes one second. Uninstall both add-ons : Right-click is immediate now. Install add-on MultiPages.zip (see next attachment, this add-on appears in Calc , Draw, Impress) : right-click in Writer becomes slow again. Uninstall MultiPages.zip I re-created exactly the same add-on, but as an extension package : MultiPages.oxt (see next attachment). Installation of MultiPages.oxt : right-click is still immediate ! Conclusion : the handler of legacy add-ons is responsible for these performance problems.
