The original behavior is not changed when the original grid type ( "use squared page mode for text grid" in "tools -> options -> Openoffice.org Writer -> General" tab page) is selected. If there are something need to do for the original behavior, it is better to create new issues for them. 2. If "standard page mode" is used, ( "use squared page mode for text grid" is unchecked), the behavior of "line per page" or "character per line" is similar to MS Word.
