As most recently "longborderd" and before many others have mentioned this is one of the most important if not the most important reason why Impress (and also to some extend Linux and other non M$-systems) is hardly used in professional settings. As "longborderd" said, I also firmly believe that many (including myself) would be willing to donate if there was a competent code willing to fix this.
