------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Apr 8 06:55:34 +0000 2008 ------- This is a not a bug in the installer, it concerns the building of the RPM packages for Linux. I couldn't find a better place in the bugtracker. I installed the 2.4.0 RPMs on a Fedora 8 (x86) box. Now, whenever I run "yum update" it wants to replace the 2.4.0 packages with Fedoras 2.3.0 RPMs. The issue may be that the spec file is lacking an Epoch. (see http://sial.org/howto/rpm/epoch/) Here's the relevant output: # rpm -q fedora-release fedora-release-8-5 # rpm -qa|grep openoff openoffice.org-core10-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core08-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-impress-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core01-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-graphicfilter-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core05-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core07-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-draw-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core03-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core09-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-base-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-calc-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core06-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core04u-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-gnome-integration-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core04-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core02-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core05u-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-writer-2.4.0-9286 openoffice.org-core03u-2.4.0-9286 # yum -v check-update Yum Version: 3.2.8 COMMAND: yum -v check-update Installroot: / Reading Local RPMDB Setting up Package Sacks Disabling media repo for non-media-aware frontend Building updates object putting kmod-nvidia in complex update putting kmod-nvidia-2.6.24.3-50.fc8 in complex update putting openoffice.org-draw in complex update putting openoffice.org-calc in complex update putting glibc in complex update putting openoffice.org-graphicfilter in complex update putting openoffice.org-base in complex update putting kmod-nvidia-2.6.24.4-64.fc8 in complex update putting openssl in complex update putting kmod-nvidia in complex update putting openoffice.org-impress in complex update putting openoffice.org-writer in complex update putting kernel in complex update processing kmod-nvidia processing kmod-nvidia-2.6.24.3-50.fc8 processing openoffice.org-draw processing openoffice.org-calc processing glibc.i686 processing openoffice.org-graphicfilter processing openoffice.org-base processing kmod-nvidia-2.6.24.4-64.fc8 processing openssl processing kmod-nvidia processing openoffice.org-impress processing openoffice.org-writer processing kernel.i686 openoffice.org-base.i386 1:2.3.0-6.11.fc8 updates openoffice.org-calc.i386 1:2.3.0-6.11.fc8 updates openoffice.org-draw.i386 1:2.3.0-6.11.fc8 updates openoffice.org-graphicfilter.i386 1:2.3.0-6.11.fc8 updates openoffice.org-impress.i386 1:2.3.0-6.11.fc8 updates openoffice.org-writer.i386 1:2.3.0-6.11.fc8 updates --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
