[…] ≠ [...] Since it is a very oftenly used symbol, Microsoft Office's Word and even Microsoft Works' Word Processor facilitate it's input by providing a handy keyboard shortcut (Alt + Ctrl + .) Also, if three consecutive periods are typed, they will auto-correct the symbol to an ellipsis. Unfortunately, none of these features are available in OOo's Writer, which makes the input of en ellipsis very difficult.
