Another way is to teach fontconfig about the relationship.

While we're at it there are many many many font-relationships that are missing
in an off-the-shelf FC
or SuSE, e.g. Times<->Thorndale, etc. for a complete list please refer to the
infamous VCL.xcu

Since the relationships there sprawled quite a bit it would be a good idea to
clean them up and replace
them by attribute based fallbacks if possible.
