Damn, did we forget this announcement ....

newer HSQLDB versions feature a security mechanism to not,  by default, allow
arbitrary code execution. This change was made as response to security concerns
brought to the OOo team.

There is a configuration setting to overwrite this, so the extension must now
also carry a small piece of configuration data which explicitly allows the
execution of its own Java methods.

Look in the DataAccess module (DataAccess.xcs) for "PermittedJavaMethods". Sorry
guys, don't have the time right now to look up this in more detail.
