I'd like to elaborate on this, but in fact are pretty time-limited at the moment. I would consider it a serious limitation if there were no possibility to deploy an extension with a JAR file, where this JAR file is somehow added to the classpath. But I darkly remember somebody having said "Java code is to be deployed as UNO services. Period." ... which does not seem to account for this problem here at all.
