2008 -------
Changed title because this problem can easily be reproduced without running an
auto test.  Simply start the presentation on a Mac and press CTRL-SHIFT-F5 (or
whatever the funny looking keys on a Mac keyboard are called.)  The navigator
opens but not for the presentation but for the edit view in the background.

The reason seems to be the different hot key handling on the Mac OS which
results in the wrong view shell processing the key press.
