Interesting discussion. Here is more information on the claimed defect in OO.o
(although you get to do it however you want, of course).

The test1 file was made by Jesper Lund Stocholm (he couldn't find his thumb
drive of tests). The test1-JLS file has the xmlns:oooc changed to be a
namespace of his own in the root element, although the formula for cell A3
appears is a legitimate OpenOffice.org Calc formula.

In any case, OO.o 2.4.1 opens it just fine and does use the formula, even
though the namespace is not one known to it. The test2-DEH file is what
happens when I modify the A1 value (the A3 changes). When I saved it out, OO.o
automatically emitted its own xmlns:oooc definition as part of the root element
attribute list.
