Installed OOo beta2 for windows downloaded from OOo site. OOo splash and menu screen loaded, but clicking on component icons did not run component. ie clicking on wrter icon but writer not running. Same for spreadsheet and other components. (Strangely database component ran OK!) Next time opening OOo the file recovery dialog opened (no document had been started). Uninstalled OOo. Noticed very active HD. 50% of Program Files Folder deleted to recycle bin. Only able to stop by task manager stop process. No other suspicious activity. No error message. OOo is uninstalled. Running java JRE update 6. AVG antivirus 8.01 free No firewall. Wireless network WPA No other resident non-windows processes. Have previously run OOo 2 with no problems. OOo uninstalled with no problems some time ago. Still using it on another older PC networked.
