Open Office 2.4.1 seems to function normally after installation but it broke
Windows 2000's large folder icons.

Description: All the large folder icons in Windows became completely blacked
out as Open Office completed it's installation. Doing a screen refresh failed
to return them to normal. Reboot failed to return them to normal. Only when I
un-installed Open Office 2.4.1 then the folder icons finally returned to
normal.

* This affected only the "Large" Windows folder icons. When I switched folder's
view to list(folder menu/View/List) then the smaller folder icons showed up
normally. So this issue of folder icons blacking out only affects the "Large"
Windows folder icons.

Steps taken.
01. Click on OpenOffice download.( http://download.openoffice.org/index.html )
02. Clicked on downloaded package and followed instructions.
03. Wait as OpenOffice2.4.1 unpacks to separate folder.
04. Install.
05. As install completes the computer screen blinks 3 times and all folder
icons become blacked out.
06. Right click on desktop, click refresh. Nothing. Folder icons are still
blacked out.
07. Reboot computer.
08. Reboot completes and system wide all folder icons are still all blacked out.
09. Goes to Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs.
10. Un-install Open Office 2.4.1.
11. As un-install completes computer screen blinks and all Windows folder icons
return to normal.

Specs:
A. System: Windows 2000Pro w/ SP4, AMD TL-50 CPU(64 dual core), 2Gb RAM,
Graphics card - nVidia 7600 w/ 256mb vRAM(not shared) and latest nVidia
drivers.

B. Other programs that normally run on this system. Spybot - Search & Destroy
1.5.2, Avast 4.8, Skype 3.8.0.139, ZoneAlarm version:7.0.483.000.

C. Download package full name(copy-and-pasted)
OOo_2.4.1_Win32Intel_install_wJRE_en-US.exe

D. See screen capture(they say a picture is worth a thousand words)
