STRGPune, 9/27/2008: An alternative set of replication steps:

This is an interesting bug. I could reproduce it with some additional
observations each for Movie and Sound file.

My Test environment-

OpenOffice version- OOO300m5 Build 9350
Windows Vista Home Premium

Scenario # 1: Sound

1. Insert>Movie and Sound>Insert a Sound file. I inserted a Wave Sound
(.wav)file.
[See the snapshot- Sound Inserted 1.jpeg]
Observe that the sound icon is displayed in slide. But sound doesn't play when
we click it here.
2. Go to "SlideShow" and then hit the sound icon.
Observe that the sound file plays this time.
However, see the snapshop Sound Inserted 2.jpeg- the icon is see as a black
rectangle.

Scenario # 2: Video (Movie)

1. Insert>Movie and Sound>Insert a Movie file. I inserted a Video Clip (.avi)
file.
[See the snapshot- Movie Inserted 1.jpeg]
Observe that the movie icon is displayed as a black rectangle in slide.

2. Go to "SlideShow" and then hit the movie icon.
Observe that the file plays this time but only the sound is heard. Refer Movie
Inserted 2.jpeg- the icon is see as a black rectangle.

Scenario # 3: Movie and Sound

1. Insert>Object and insert a movie file. I inserted a Video Clip (.avi) file.
[See the snapshot- Movie & Sound Inserted 1.jpeg]
Observe that the movie icon is displayed as an icon of a plug-in.
Observe that no action takes place even in SlideShow.
