2008 -------
In versions previous to version 3 and with the document in WORD saved as a
version 97 to 2003 an object saved in the WORD document would be displayed
correctly in Open Office.
In version 3 as shown above and when opening the WORD 2007 version the object
displays the content within the object on page one of the document and the
object itself in the correct page location but blank.
Also the object was contained on a landscape page which then changed back to a
portrait page afterwards in the WORD 2007 document. In OpenOffice 3 though ut
stayed as landscape.
If I opened the WORD 2003 version of the same document in OpenOffice 3 it opens
without problem.
Simply put OPenoffice is not handling the DOCX objects correctly and the
landscape/portrait mid document changes.
Hope this makes sense. I did searchj as much as possible to see if already
reported but nor joy.
Regards - Andy Parkes
