------- Additional comments from m...@openoffice.org Wed Jan 28 12:13:01 +0000 2009 ------- Looking on Linux: Removing gvfs support in 3.x probably won't hurt too many people as they either get OOo from their distro (and AFAIK Debian does not provide 3.x builds for Etch), perhaps the same is true for older versions of the other distros. So the only people that would lose a feature are those that use older Linux distros and Vanilla OOo builds. So thinking about using gio for Vanilla Linux builds definitely is an option (provided that the gio UCP is available upstream and works good enough).
