Deeper investigation reveals, that the <SvxShape::getPosition()> is called after the SvxShape instance has been created and <SvxShape::setPosition( (0,0) )> has been called, but before the attributes given in the ODF are set - e.g. the transformation of the line object is set after this <SvxShape::getPosition()> call.
