Definitely not a mail merge bug
The cause is the handling of page template
The first page has it's own footer with own content.
Insert anything into the footer at the first page and you'll see what i mean.
So you have to define the data base field for the following page also.
You'll see the same effect when you just open the start document and push "Data
to Fields" button at the database Beamer.
