------- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Apr 10 01:28:03 -0700 2005 ------- Cygwin itself crated a folder home/Jean Hollis Weber/.ssh when I created a key using Cygwin itself. Windows would not let me create .ssh under Cygwin/home. So I had placed my public and private key in the home/Jean Hollis Weber/.ssh directory. Do those file have to be named id_dsa and id_dsa.pub? That's not the names of the key files I had. I tried renaming my key files but they didn't work with either the original names or the id_dsa names. Willy, you said, type: chmod 400 id_dsa* Where do I do that? When I tried it in the Cygwin window, I got the error message chmod: cannot access 'id_dsa*': No such file or directory When I replaced id_dsa* with the name of my key file I got the same error message (but with the name of my file instead of id_dsa* I remain totally confused and frustrated by this. -- Jean --------------------------------------------------------------------- Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
