------- Additional comments from bren...@openoffice.org Mon Jul 6 08:09:51 +0000 2009 ------- I don't know if the wordprocessor componentis the right place to report this, this is where I observe this behaviour, but it could be in any component : This happens when using the startcenter "open file" option and opening e.g. a .doc file from the file selector window : the window will disappear and no indication is left that OO is actually doing something : the mouse cursor is a normal arrow ( no hourglass), no indication anywhere that something is happening. This can be over a minute where I'm wondering if OO will open the file or not. And this is not even with large files (e.g. this morning with a 35kb .doc file ). At least the hourglass should be shown at once, and then as rapidly as possible at least the window frame with a progress bar.
