------- Additional comments from bren...@openoffice.org Mon Jul 6 13:17:58 +0000 2009 ------- I played a little bit and I think I can pin down the behavior that I see : when you try to access via the start center a file that is on the network and there is a network problem, then there can be a long period of time when the "open file" window dialog has disappeared and before the actual OOO window is opened. During this period (while OO or the system is trying the to access the network) also no hourglass is shown. And as at the same time there is also no hard disc activity, there is actually no indication that Oo is doing anything.
