It will be several weeks, if not months, before I'm where that machine is again
and have an opportunity
to conduct your experiment.

>>>It reveals that Lotus Symphony does not preserve the
corresponding ODF attribute style:default-outline-level for the corresponding
paragraph styles and that OOo does not handle the Lotus Symphony created ODF
text document completely according the ODF specification.

It sounds like OO has violated the ODF specification by storing this
information in the stated attribute
rather than storing it where the specification wants it to be stored. This is
going to be a serious problem
for OO acceptance down the road as KWord, WordPerfect, MS Word, and even
ABIWord are all adding
support based on the ODF specification.

I did copy your information over to the Symphony people. You might want to
install 1.3 since that has
been the current Symphony release for many months, but if OO violated ODF
specification it will not
matter.

>>> I have ask You to check where You have got this version. If I am
sure that the software You are using are not an official OpenOffice.org one,
then I can skip my root cause analysis, because then the root cause can not be
found in official OpenOffice.org.

per what I have provided many many times:

>>I always get my releases from the lizard 1-click things. This isn't an "old
developer release", it was just installed and has the OOO310m identifier. This
is the release which was flagged as "stable".
