I did some more work on analysing this. When the mainwindow was not maximised
this hiding does not happen. But the result was not so good. What actually
happens is the Navigator window maximises to cover the whole of the Writer's
document space. When maximised it docks at /sticks to the right edge
[scrollbar] and is out of the screen. This behaviour can be seen in a window
which is not maximised. See the first screenshot.

In the second screenshot you can see what has happened in a maximised window.
The Navigator 'eats up' the total document space when docking. And after this
'docking' I am unable to dock it in a more suitable way so that the document is
also visible.

What is advisable is to limit the resizing of Navigator window in any case to a
certain percent of the parent window; that would be enough. But the sad part of
this issue is that the 'reproduce methods' are not working. Or is there a
problem with my the specific OS (Win2k) or window managing methods?
